This is a poem I wrote many years ago when I was at a low point. I decided to dust it off and put it to music.

I feel like dropping dead,
The pressure is too great.
Dissolve the live Ive lead,
And give in to my fate.
For mine it is a grim one,
With songs already sung.
No one to know the reason,
For a fleeting life unflung.
Understanding makes unhealthy,
The truths weve always known.
The paths weve taken finite,
The hand weve kept all shown.
Nevermind the hardship,
For that it is a con.
To make us see some value,
In all the wrongs weve done.
If heavens all forgiving,
And hell a burning pain.
The choice it should be simple,
But still the doubts remain.
The personal is public,
The public never knows,
Just what it means to be you,
And face your life alone.
