Greek mythology has always been a fancy of mine. This is the tale of the son of Minos, King of Knossos. He betrayed Poseidon who decided to punish him. Poseidon caused Minos' queen, Pasiphae to fall in love with a great, white bull. Pasiphae consumated her love with the bull, and her child was born with the body of a man and the head of a bull - he was the Minotaur. ::::
The sorrowful creature was banished in shame to an endless maze beneath the Palace of Knossos, called the Labyrinth. To please the gods, Minos was forced to sacrifice seven maidens and seven men to the Minotaur, in order to maintain peace on the island of Crete. ::::
The sins of the father are oft paid for by the son. This song is more than just about the myth, but you'll need to find meaning for yourself. My thanks for listening. I hope you enjoy.
