Song Information:

7 years ago my son Maurice was born 10 weeks earlier than he should've been and this song was written then, when he was in the Natal Intensive Care Unit. I guess I was sort of bummed out at the time over some other things, so though it's meant to be a father's words of encouragement to his new baby, it has some rather grim overtones. I almost forgot about this song, and this song started out as a simple banjo tune, but with GB, I've taken it in another direction altogether. Maybe it got a little far out, but hey, what's a fella to do?
I play the piano, bass guitar, electric guitar, tenor banjo.
