Song Information:

A far superior version to the one I posted before. Re-did the vocals, eliminated most vocal flubs, did my best to mix it with my limited expertise. Recorded entirely using I-Book pinhole mic (accounting for ambient noise). Keep an eye out for a decently recorded version, full-band version, hopefully coming soon.

Also, comments on vocals and lyrics are encouraged and needed.

Song Lyrics:

Every smile I dont hide
Is just me savoring my pride
And the tartness in my mouth (so bitter-sweet)
As I pass another year
The only aging is my fears
The charming boy I never was, but hell at least I figured out

I dont have scars
I have wounds
I keep them fresh
Just for you

Every memorys just a guest
Neat but still they do their best
To make sure I know theyve been through (and fucked shit up)
You would think that theyd stay
But I drove them away
Years ago by being rude, but Im the best at what I do

And my scars
They are tattoos
Illustrated
In gray and white
Black and blue
Bruised all over

And so you know,
It wasn't suicide
This noose around my neck is there to remind
Of the albatross I carried all this time

(I was careful,
I meant it,
I swear, officer, that I have nothing to hide)

Every thought is a strain
But I'm a glutton for pain
When it comes to thoughts of you (nailed to my wall)
In my head, it's all the same
But I would sell my Christian name
To the devil put a bullet in the heart of the matter, and let it just die
