Song Information:
The seed for this song just "happened" while doing voice level/quality tests with my M-Audio mic preamp. In other words, start a bass loop and sing whatever comes into your head. I must reveal that the first draft used the phrase "this righteous man" (I was thinking like Robert Goulet or Franco Nero in Lerner and Loewe's "C'est Moi" from Camelot). I soon realized that "righteous" was going to be quite problematic, so changed it to "lovestruck" and various synonyms.
I used GarageBand's MIDI pencil tool for guitars (but not bass guitar), piano and "digital basic" synth. These MIDI tracks were created from scratch. So, I'm happy to say that I truly "own" most of this composition. I see now why many are so taken by the Pencil Tool. It allows a person who is not that handy with keyboard or guitar to create interwoven melodies and rich chords.
12-15-2004: Remastered original GarageBand song in Logic Express 7 by importing and tweaking filters and levels. Helped to give it a richer sound and eliminated the spraying "s" sounds.
Song Lyrics:
This lovestruck man doth deliver a song from his heart.
This smitten man doth deliver a song unto thee.
Hear my breath. Feel my passion.
Know my devotion to you, my love.
This gaga man doth deliver a song from his heart.
This dotty man doth deliver this song unto thee.
Your touch, your aroma. Your smile, your face.
I want to be with you, in your sweet embrace.
This stricken man doth deliver a hymn to his love.
This lovestruck man is inspired to lift his voice.
I cant find the words to express all the joy
when we walk through this world, hand in hand.
