Sometimes when I stay up late
I sit around and I cogitate
About the way of the world and where I've been
I don't know where Im going but won't you let me in.

Won't you stop awhile and sit with me
We can talk about the weather and the deep blue sea
Because I like to scuba dive
And I like to sit in the sun
and read a book with my #1

Won't you stay with me for a little while
We could talk it up or we could just sit and smile
Never want to be anywhere that I can't be myself
Why don't you sit with me in the sun

It may be raining but I'm not sad
Cuz there's no mean people to make me mad
Oh Senorita, won't you sit with me
We can talk awhile and be free

When I woke up the rain was pouring down
There were people standing all around
It wasn't my "Last Kiss"
It was something else that I missed
Cuz I fell asleep in my beach chair
I'd been sitting there since who knows when
Fell asleep in my beach chair
And I'm as red as a tomato
And I'm as red as a strawberry too.
And I'm thinking, "Man, this is gonna hurt whenever I try to move!"
Don't you think it might?

Now, I'm here in the medical clinic
Got this white stuff smeared all over me
It hurts to move. It hurts to sit.
I don't know where I wanna go but this ain't it.

Oh Senorita won't you sit with me
Give me something cool to drink (maybe through a straw)
I think I might have hurt myself
When I sat in the sun

It only goes to show what I didn't know
Or should have known but maybe I forgot
Maybe sometimes a little is good
but a lot is definitely not

Senorita won't you sit with me
Feed me something cool to drink (maybe through a straw)
I don't know. It hurts to move.
But, I'll be back next year and I'll get back in the groove.

And won't you sit with me when I come back
I promise maybe I'll wear a hat
And sunblock, what the hell is that?
Maybe I'll find out, or maybe I won't.

Oh Senorita, save a place for me
Senorita, save a place for me
Cuz' I'll be back for more
to sit in the sun
