Song Information:
This song is about trying to sleep through your morning wake-up call.
The trumpet and trombone are the alarm trying to wake the sleeper. The other sections represent the sleeper. At first the alarms don't penetrate at all. Later they start to sink in, and we hear the sleeper moan and groan. We get a chance to plunge deep into the sleeper's dream for a bit, before the alarm finally does it's thing and (mostly) pulls us out of dreamland. This alarm that has been going for a while also wakes up the baby.
