Song Information:
A musician that goes by the name Obbster at MacJams posted his elegantly genre-defying tune Emblym recently, and I liked it a lot. I thought it sounded ripe for a loud electric guitar treatment. I asked him if I could cover it, and he kindly consented. It took a couple of days to reconstruct the framework of the piece (the rhythmic accents are oddly complex, although it probably doesn't sound like it), and a few weeks of messing around to get it finished. So, here it is.

EXSP24 (Fretless Electric Bass, Miami Lead, Pop Kit)

12 guitar tracks including the 5 drone tracks, Boss GT-8, Digitech Whammy, Ibanez JS1000
LE 7, Ozone 3, Audacity
Guitar sounds for the first break were made with 5 tracks of guitar using Delay/Hold on the GT-8, plus Desolation and Teaweed. For the second break I used the Harmonizer and Humanizer on the GT-8, then went to a Harmonizer/Whammy combination using the DigiTech with the GT-8 in series.
I took a few liberties, indulged myself just a little, but I think I left the feel and spirit of the original mostly intact. I added a brief middle section to try out some new guitar effects. Fun. Anyway, here's a song I would have written if I had that kind of skill. I hope you like it.
