Song Information:

It's an organic thing that just grew from some playing around on my toy keyboard. The piano on this number isn't the toy keyboard itself, but it is the part I worked out on it.

Then, as the various parts of the puzzle came together, there was a tone and beat to a passage in it that suggested the line, "Watch out baby (o'oh), mouse has got the cheese." The rest just fell into place from that.

Why the affected accent? Well, to me, mice are pirates, and heroic ones at that, eking out an existence where they're not welcome, taking what they need and leaving the rest. Many classic pirates were Jamaican, so it seemed right that a cocky braggart mouse would probably be Jamaican, too.
