Do For Love – or as we’ve come to know it, “Doofer” – was inspired by some friends who have a multi-cultural relationship, him from Australia and her from Austria. Got me thinking.
Relationships are hard enough at times, but when two countries and 2 cultures are involved, it can make it even more difficult. It occurred to me that people sometimes make some pretty big decisions based on their love for another person, and little else.
A lot of our friends have multi-cultural relationships, and in some the difference in cultures is quite significant – hats off to all of them!
This started out as a lovely, quiet chord sequence, picked gently over a nice cup of cammomile tea ....... sorry, the monster got it :)
Would love Alf (alfalpha) to do a piano track for this, and hopefully the complete version will be on the next CD.
