Here's the story.
Clark and I were both trying to write a bridge for Rock n' Roll
SOB. Clark came up with the Verse riff I came up with the Chorus riff. Neither fit into SOB but they fit together.
The Bridge? I was whacked out that day.
The song was heavy and it was different, we were having trouble writing lyrics because it didn't fit into our usual style. I was talking to a kid one night and he kept going on about Dillinger Escape Plan. I went to their website and it was some derivative hardcore, real fast with no soul.
Then the lyrics I'd been looking for came.
