Song Information:

This is a song about my cat, Madeleine, who died the night of February 1st.

This is one of a couple of songs that came to me after her death. The first one that came to me is about the pain of losing her and being crushed by her death.

This one is the song of her, herself. Madeleine, as she was when she was alive. I wanted to capture her essence in this song, but i don't know if that's possible. She was a very special cat. She was so sweet and had such a softness about her, a gentleness; yet, she also had this energy surging through her, she was so lively and radiant. She had a sort of wildness, too, she was a nature loving kitty.

She was constantly beside me, and she'd come right up to me and just gaze at me. I''d pet her and put my arm around her, and she'd purr and keep gazing into my eyes. There is no way to ever capture that. None of her photos reflect that beautiful look on her face. She's still pretty in photos, but they don't capture her essence. This song probably doesn't either, but i tried. I tried to get both the gentleness and the liveliness of her. God, i can't fucking believe she's gone, it hurts so much!
