A song about making changes... What started out as a happy little B.J.Stephens/Burt Bacharach melody takes on a sort of inspirational and philospophical tone, the way Kelli puts it, and this takes a little jaunt into the motivational message in musical form. I try to keep it light with a lot of lighter sounding touches to the background, with the bells being a real recording of bells from a collection I inherited from my Aunt Betty, maybe referring here to the guardian angel theme from "It's a Wonderful Life".
This is a revised mix as of 1/28/07- some limiting on the main drum track, a little tiny change-up around the 4:31 mark, fixed some of the peaking bits in the electric guitar. The acoustic is a little louder, and the lead vocal is a little cleaner with less compression. If this isn't the final version, I'd be surprised
