Song Information:

Well, maybe it's too early for this, but actually this one popped out sort of unexpected. Influenced by Hem, I came up with this piano music and sent it to Kelli a month or so ago. At that point I was calling it "Bless this Mess", but Kelli came up with these words and sent me a gorgeous vocal performance and I mixed it up and this is what I've got now. I tweaked my piano a little, added some strings, clarinet and vibes, and sweetened up Kelli's vocal a smidge.
I've mastered this in Peak and so I think this is even closer to the final version...
I am just so excited about this one. For one, I have never written a song on the holiday theme, and I'm not too comfortable with the idea in principle. But as Kelli said in her e-mail, "...it's not your average holiday tune". And secondly, Kelli sings so sweetly and tenderly in this song, that it's pretty irresistable. Despite being one of those dreaded Christmas songs!
