Song Information:
Here's something I wrote in 2004 but never did anything with. It's another take on the song Die Stadt ("The City") written in about 1827 by Franz Schubert. It's from his posthumous collection called "Swan Songs." This is my orchestral fantasy on the tune.
The music is supposed to depict night in a modern urban jungle -- it's not a very nice city. Near the end, a quote from a much better song about urban life can be heard.
No QuickTime or other Apple sounds were used. As usual, the sheet music for this tune can be seen and played at my SibeliusMusic page.
