Song Information:
I wrote this song for solo piano somewhere around 1986. My wife, who was a friend at the time, and my girlfriend not long after, still remembers me pounding it out in anguish when my crushes of the time failed.
For this 2006 version, I worked hard to make the performance less mechanical and more expressive. This version is recorded in one take, as I played it, with no post-processed note jockeying.
Technical
This song uses the Steinway sample in Garritan Personal Orchestra.
I played this new 2006 version on my M-Audio ProKeys 88, which (unlike my previous controller) has 88 keys that are weighted, so I get a lot more expression. I didn't mess with Overture for this version. I just played into Garageband using GPO as an AU plugin.
