The Orleans Ballroom was part of the Theatre d' Orleans, one of many early opera houses in New Orleans, built in 1819. It is a historic landmark of music
in that newly arrived European classical musicians
would perform there. Its legacy, without a doubt, plays
a very important part in American and World music
history. The ballroom, I am happy to report, is in
excellent condition escaping the wrath of
Katrina, as did most of the French Quarter. This small composition is a tribute to its legacy. 2008 scotty hill
