Song Information:
12/24/05 update: cleaned up vocal trax.
Almost two years ago I posted a song titled Anymore. It was from a very trying time in my life. When I got Garage Band I decided to take this from the tape deck (it was originally recorded on a tape deck while I was sitting on an abandoned rail road track) Anyway, after I posted the song I was contacted from a singer songwriter from Ontario, Canada.
He told me he really liked the song and wanted to do a cover of, it, which he did. Upon hearing it I decided to ask him to fix my version. He agreed. The timing I had originally done was all over the place.
Mr. Bakay and I have been working on this version for nearly a year and have finally agreed to this version. Because he is from Ontario Canada and has dial up we had to ship discs back and forth due to file sizes. The final Garage Band file was 1.9 gigabytes.
Mr. Bakay plays the following instruments on this tune all I do on this version is sing:
'65 Fender Malibu (w Barcus/Berry pickup)
'69 Martin D12-20
'71 Fender Strat
J&D Bass (no idea what year but it's fairly new)
Apex 435 condenser mike
Alto S-6 mixer
eMac
Hope you like it
Song Lyrics:
Mama was a ball buster daddy was a crop duster
Sista hopped a train lookin fo 'er lackluster
last time she saw it it was fadin in the rain
I'm a six string hack walkin a rail road track
One stroke closer to a heart attack
Anymore these days are strange
Anymore i'm not sure what im doin or why im here for
Feelin like n old soul beat down like a hobo
Toolin a long tryin to make it through tomorrow
Reelin from the years in the cold
Havin lots of fun head toward the sun
I ain't foolin no one cryin through the sorrow
Healin takes time n it's slow
Anymore i'm not sure what im doin or why im here for
(instr. break)
Anymore i'm not sure what im doin or why im here for
Can ya tell me why ya try for?
Can ya tellin what you're willin to die for?
Can ya tell me what you try for cry for strive for lie for
Can ya tell me what you're willin to die for
Don't ya know anymore?
