Song Information:
This finds me back in my favorite meter and back in the days when cool cats wore short hair, skinny ties and "stingy-brim" hats. (I still own several sharkskin suits --all purchased at pawn shops-- but find that I am no longer able to get into them. A pity.)
Sheet music for this piece is available at a nominal fee at my page at SibeliusMusic. and for all you hotshot performers out there, may I suggest that you download the free MIDI file of the piece, import it into your favorite application, delete the saxophone channel, and add your own lead on oboe, sax, flute, guitar, clarinet, slide whistle or kazoo.
Most of the piece is in the Dorian mode, although I cop-out at the end.
