Bent Not Broken

Bent

Maggie Osterberg was one of the first artists to join Macidol. Known for her Media Wench site and for sometimes very forthright views. She works tirelessly for this site and if you want an honest opinion - she will deliver. The same can be said of her music.

Not Broken

Bent, Not Broken is an eclectic mix of tunes. Using copious amounts of gorgeous guitars and basses, she puts it all together using GarageBand and a Mac. "Night Bless America" a duo with George W is a trippy experiment which leads into "Paging Billy Reid" a lament to fellow Macidoler Billy Reid - the master of the pin-hole mic. Next up is "Mystery Turtle" which has some lovely licks and effects. Funny, all of the songs are different, but they all sound like Maggie. It's a very hard album to pigeon-hole - which is why I won't bother. Some music defies categories and this album is in a place of it's own. This is 14 tracks of inspiring and thought provoking music that should appeal to broad-minded musicians and listeners alike. Silicon Cowboy Sunset, Red Cow and LovMon being some of my faves.

Discover the wonderful world of Maggie Osterberg for yourself and bend your iPod.
