| "I Don't Mind" | |
| I don't mind what the papers say-- brand new lies coming every day-- it doesn't matter anyway, 'cause everything will be quite okay. I don't mind, I don't mind at all, because everything is going to be all right. I don't care about the many wrongs-- I'll pay more heed to optimistic songs--; I shouldn't worry either day or night for everything is going to be be all right. I don't mind... I used to fret about a world at war-- all the ills coming more and more--; but it's useless so now I don't, I woke up one morning and decided I won't worry, no more, no, not any more; for everything's going to be all right. I don't believe that there be a hell and if I did I should not care. For, you see, if there were a hell only priests and politicians would be there. I don't mind... |
