| "Pink Flamingo" | |
| A few years ago we attended a software conference in New Orleans, the nearest bar to his hotel was a seedy strip joint called The Pink Flamingo. Drugs were openly sold over the bar here and the dancers were all prostitutes touting for business. Most of the girls, once beautiful looked tired and much older than their age due to their drug addictions. This kept them in this place, yet they still held onto their dreams of one day escaping this lifestyle and living free from this implicit oppression. This song is about the exploitation of women such as these, and in a way it is a tribute to them. |
