| During July and August, we were back at Cigol Studios in Hollywood recording 16 tracks for our first album under our own name, The Gene Yazbahr Band. Most of the songs we recorded are covers of jazz and pop pieces we play on the LA jazz club circuit, but three are originals we spent the summer on. "Back on the Rhodes Again", written by our own Dan Daugherty, didn't make the final cut for the album, so we're happy to present it here. Gene Yazbahr is on electric bass, Dan Daugherty is on a classic Rhodes Mark V Stage 73 electric piano and Korg Triton synth, and Darr Huff is on the great Yamaha DTXtreme IIS electronic drum kit. |
