Ever since I recorded my version of High On The Mountain Top my wife has been encouraging me to record similar music.
I've always liked this hymn and didn't realize how old it was until this afternoon. Francis of Assisi originally wrote the lyrics in around 1225! And the melody wasn't written for another 400 years, making this the oldest piece of music I've ever played with.
