This is the 1st Movement Op. 27, No.2
When I was a kid (8-10) my parents forced me to take piano lessons. Back then, playing the piano was more of a chore than anything else. So after 2 years or so I talked my parents into letting me quit. Fast forward a couple years. I was in seventh grade (13 yrs old?) and I heard my mother play the first movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. The subtle beauty of her performance inspired me to begin playing again.

Schubert has been one of my favorite compsosers since my piano teacher introduced me to his beautiful melodies. In this arrangement I simply wanted to hear what this impromptu would sound like with the harmonies split up with different instruments, rather than having the piano play all parts. There are times when the strings (Bright Arco Strings for you GB students) will carry the melody, and I also put in some bass guitar (Ballad Bass Guitar, again for you GB students) to punch up some of the more intense scenes. I've put in a lot of hours on this one so I hope you all enjoy.

I'm happy to release my first totally original song. It's a simple new-age piano piece that I wrote several years ago, and I've added a little improvisation in there. Comments are welcome
Best Wishes,
Christopher Allen
