Why this name?
That's a simply one...I chose my band name (Jerry Chiappetta, Jr.) because that's my name.

Do you play live?
I perform live as often as possible in the South Florida area. I have been in SW Florida for over 25 years, so I guess it's safe to say I like it here. The hurricanes can be a bummer, but last years storms helped motivate me to write "STUCK IN BETWEEN", so I can't complain. In short, I'll play live where ever a crowd awaits!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a great way to share music with people all over the world. Being that music is the universal language, I think it's a wonderful thing. However, I feel that those who abuse it should not be permitted to use it.

Would you still sign a record contract with a major label?
I sure would consider it, but a starving musician I am not.

Band History:
I have been performing my original music for over 25 years in the Detroit Michigan area as well as in South Florida. The tunes on my ORIGINALS CD contain songs written, performed and recorded from 1979 to 2006. I look at each of my original tunes as markers in time, that reflect a special moment in my life. I'm happy that web sites like CD Baby, SoundClick and others that have made it possible for me to share these speical moments with you.

Your Influences?
The Beatles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, The Cars, David Bowie, James Taylor, Journey, Cat Stevens, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol & America are my primary influences. Oh Yea, did I mention The Beatles?

Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is on stage jamming out some original tunes to a screaming audience. It does not really matter where, as long as it's happening.

Equipment used:
Guild S-250 Electric Guitars, Fender Strats, Yamaha APX-6 and a ton of Amps, PA's, Effect boards. My recodings are done in GarageBand using a Macintosh PowerBookG4.
