"He Sure Can Swing"

In 2005, Tim Logan's short film, "He Sure Can Swing," won best actor and the Ellington Award for best original music ("He Sure Can Swing" by B&Massa) at the Full Swing Film Festival in Melbourne. Thrown together from jazzy Appleloops in a late night session when the band the director had booked couldn't make the schedule in time for the deadline, "He Sure Can Swing" is the opening theme to the film. Making the task even more difficult was having to mix it with and match it to an acapella vocal by one of the actors and recorded on location. Garage Band (version 1 at the time) was more than up to the task!
