"1966 Stella by Harmony"
:[ info ]:
Ever wonder what a red burst Stella made by harmony in the fall of 1966 sounds like? Answering that question is this tunes purpose. Masochism for my fingers is the other.

I can't believe this was meant to be a "student" guitar, for it is by far the hardiest guitar to play i have come across. It would scare off a student in a heart beat unless they were REALLY motivated. The strings cut into your fingers no matter what kind they are, the action is too high, the flat fingerboard has brass mandolin sized frets and the intonation sucks. This is my worst guitar and it now hurts to even type with my left hand... hold on while just use my right... Where was I?

Oh yeah, it is a good slide guitar though. And Beck used a similar sounding guitar for "hollow log" and "He's A Mighty Good Leader".

Why do i have it? I got it for free when I was a kid. I tried playing it once and shoved in a closet for the next 14 years or so. They cost $50 on ebay if you want one. If you can play a finger picking Bruce Cockburn tune on a stock 1960's stella like mine, i could kiss your feet.
