20/M/TX currently... originally from CA. I've always had a thing for music. My parents bought me my first electronic keyboard when I was about 5, and I couldn't put it down. I am mostly self taught, though I took a few piano lessons to help me learn to read sheet music better... my hero is Nobuo Uematsu, the composer of Final Fantasy music... and my God. I'm obsessed
. I am not sure what my future with music holds exactly, but I have a video game composition job lined up for me, currently on hold though... it will be a couple years.
Most of my songs were made simply in SoundMaker (an advanced sound editor for OS9 that is no longer supported), and I make loops myself on my Roland XP-30 synthesizer. I don't like to use loops from things such as GB, Fruityloops, Acid, etc... because they are overly used in my opinion, and I don't like to hear them used in multiple songs. I am yet to touch any real advanced music software, and know what I'm doing... but soon hopefully, and then I can promise much higher quality compositions. I like being able to 'craft' the sounds how I want them. I make music mostly for myself, but I like sharing with others, and I'm glad to know it is liked.
I was on mp3.com in the past, but when CNET took over, I ceased to use the service. It just started to really suck. Thanks alot CNET... I enjoy this site, and I like hearing other amature artist's music as well.
I think thats enough info for now.
