Musically I'm a bit of a schizophrenic. I've been in a number of bands though my now 20 year journey into obscurity. From straight up Rock-n-Roll, to Progressive Rock; from Acoustic Rock to something bordering on Country, I've done just about every kind of music. Not because I was trying to cash in on what was hot. I just truly loved all the different genres. They all feel very natural to me. I wouldn't do it if it felt forced or fake. I grew up in Kings Park, New York. Kings Park is a working class town on Long Island. There I started jamming with some friends when I was about thirteen. We were very loud and very bad. A volume on ten, talent on two kind of thing. We got better, and began playing out in local clubs when I was fifteen. The other guys in the band were older than me, between eighteen and twenty, so I got away with being in the clubs under age. After high school I went to Audio Recording Technology Institute to learn how to become an audio engineer. It was there that I fell in love with the creative process of making music. Jamming was fun but this... This was the real thing. Where the rubber meets the road. Where tunes become songs and songs become albums. I loved it. I sold a bunch of band gear and bought my first piece of recording gear, a Fostex X-15. A cassette based four-track portable studio, about the size of your average Beatles lunch box, just thinner. It was great. I started recording everything I did that even closely sounded like a song. Well to make a long story short, (I bet you wish I would have said that a while ago), I got better and so did my recording gear. I now have the best recording gear I have ever owned, in the best location I have ever had to work in. I have built the studio in the garage of my dream house in the lush rolling hills and dirt roads of Brooksville, Florida. The two-car garage is now a one-car garage and a recording studio. A Mac based retreat for our beleaguered hero. I have recently complete work on my latest CD, "Dog Tags & Tears". The CD is now available through CDbaby.com and on the iTunes Music Store.
