| A love song, I consider it to be among the most concise and elegant statements on the emotion that I have managed to pen. This song took a while to record, and there were several versions along the way, although all of them had the same underlying percussion loops and melodic bass line. There's an easter egg in here, as well. See if your ears can pick out the spot in the song where my dog, Bud, can be heard shaking his dog tags in the background while I did a backing vocal line. The take was good and I didn't want to redo it, and Bud's jangling actually seemed to be on-beat and almost sounded like a tambourine! |
