Garage Band with Dent Du Midi and Reason has become my composition Go-To scenario. I use a TASCAM US-122 and a cheap little Bellari Tube Pre-Amp for my AKG 414 or My Ken Lawrence Guitars and Bass.
My Drums are usually extensive Midi Programming with my own recorded sound libraries. I have had the privelage of recording many awesome drummers in great settings and mapping their kits out for DAW Editing in Post on their projects. Well...I keep the libraries and create my own kits for use in applications like Reason. When in Logic or Nuendo, which I use for mix down and Studio Sessions, I will usually use Halion 2 with my layered samples as Drum Kits (I really only have 4 and they continually grow).
