This is a funny title for this song. I moved to California from Seattle Wa about 5 years ago. I LOVE the weather here! The first weekend of December '07, we had a good rain. I recorded the first draft of this song that I had been kicking around in my head for a couple of days. I didn't have any lyrics at that point, so I just started singing what I was thinking. "Sweet Summer Rain". It wasn't until a week later when I listened back to it that I realized that I was so used to bad weather that I thought it was summer. The day before it rained was in the mid 70's, and the day after was in the 80's... welcome to California!
