I'm sort of surprised at how quiet it is over here. Maybe I'm missing the chaotic interaction at iComp. Never thought I would. But here, it's like a new song on the front page sits there for days and gets all of 6 hits. I don't know who dropped by, I don't know what they thought.

I'm also running my exodus at MacJams. I get some comments there. The contrast is stark.

I guess I'm an iComp refugee now. Crikey. Who'd a thunk it?

It's on the cards that 4 years worth of music and data has gone up in smoke. All that blogging, all that commenting, all that forum-posting might just be all gone. I'm trying to get my head around that reality and it's actually spinning me out.

I know I was feeling really pissed off with aspects of that community and was already heading for the door, but there were a heck of a lot of nice people there and if I end up out of touch with them, I'm really going to miss them.

Anyway, it's looking like a wait and see sort of situation. What a drag.

iCompositions is down for the count on the mat.
I guess I'm lucky I was already half-way out the door. Who knows how long it will take for them to get back up, but boy, if they lose it all, it'll be a bit of an outrage I imagine.

It really is good to be back.
